My Beautiful Dream

Many many years ago when I was a little (more or less) girl, an other girl lived i our house. She was 2 years older, I think. And she was the first to leave the house and to enter an university.

That girl had a dream to become ф geologist. She went in Leningrad and, when she turned home for vacations, she took her guitar and new and very romantic songs written by very popular bards that had their "capital" in Leningrad at that period.

It was a period of romanticism, I think. We all had our heads full of such dreams: taiga, backpacks, fire etc. But this girl fulfilled this dream. She became geologist and passed her life in trips.

Some days ago she contacted me in Facebook. We exchanged some messagges about those ...more than 30 years. Today, she pubblished some photos about her life. And I copy them here... with the deep breaths about that beautiful dream.

A Mini Zoo in the Yard

We visited one interesting shop yesterday. The shop belongs to a family that created a business from a passion of all it's members. They liked poultry and began to sell chiks, first, and everything for pets, yard animals and garden, than. They have a room for parrots, a room for aquariums and many boxes for different species of poultry.

If you enter the parrots' room, you notice that there are different parrots that live free, not in the cages. They do not try to fly away, they are very calm. When you enter, an ara flys to you to greet you. They are not frightened, they are not agressive.  And they are content to live there. You understand that theses are domestic birds.

We know this shop many years. And we knew about a kind of zoo they had in the backyard. That zoo was the first they created. The shop came later. We asked a permission to visit that backyard and  discovered that they have a real zoo with the tickets there. But it was notr interesting for us. We wanted to see how the ducks live there. And here are the photos of that part of the yard.

The yard is about 20m large and they created a pool and a channel with a tree in a center of the area. With the net all around it.

I would like to have such garden, too...

Fatal Picture

Water Lilies is one of my favourite pictures. I like Impressionists very much -not only those most known. These pictures are ...mmm... so as I see the world, maybe. I have myopia from primary school years and do not remember how was the world in HD naturally, without glasses. That is how I explain this strange love.

If you would ask me what pictures I would call Art, I would answer everything classic, maybe, not pictures but generally. Classic period was perfect. And my brain enjoys it most than any other direction of art. But my emotional delight is sureely for Impressionists.

I read it somewhere that brain and heart are different universes. I completly agree with it. And this my case is the prove of it.

But the reason why I write about this picture is not to discuss the schools. I found interesting facts about this and some other pictures. They are ...fatal. They provoke terrible events, deaths and disasters.

Water Lilies are the cause of fire.
The first time it happend when Monet, finished this work, organized a party with his friends near it.
The first owner of the picture was a cabaret where the fire destroyed everything except the picture a month after the purchase.
Than, the picture buyed O. Schmidt whose house was burned a year after, and the fire began from the room where the picture was. The picture remained undamaged.
Next was the museum of modern arts in New York burned 4 months after they aquired it, too. The picture was seriously damaged that time.

Bad Weather is the Main Thought Everywhere Now

The weather is terrible. All the web is full of the complaints, and the telephones are just on the point to burn from the efforts to share the last notices. My friend from Turin told me that the snow is so high that they can't go out from the house. They cleaned the snow all the morning and they were in the originally situation in the afternoon.

We were the most fortunate all the time here. It was relatively cold all the day, about 8°C, but it's not the lowest temperature we can have. The mountains are partially white. But the sun was shining all the days.

So was the weather till yesterday. Now the situation is changed completly. After the notice about the Siberian front of frost, I waited we will see the snow here, too. Nothing to do.

Rain. Day and night. Without stop. Hail. Big. In the night. The noise was so loud that I thought the nail is big as the eggs. I dreamed to see snow in the morning -at least in this form. Nothing this time, too.

Now, the rain continue with thunder. I think, I have to turn out everything because the peals are very loud.

I'm vey happy that i did not listen to my husband some days ago. He wanted I sow the plants because the spring is just begonnen. No, don't believe it, I said. The weather in this period is very deceptive. And I was right. He remembered it this morning.

Ohhh... This morning, I went in Salerno for my turn in museum and run in hurry from the car because I wanted to make some photos of the churches I have to show to the tourists next sunday. And... I forgot the umbrella...
Well... What can I tell you... This story has it's happy end: my husband was still at home when I finished my turn and arrived in our zone. He went with the car to the bus stop to take me home. I was almost dry.
