Dante about paranormal events

Everybody of us knows about paranormal events of all sorts. Intuition, casual future forcasts ecc ecc happen to everybody. There are persons that can do it always (those really able, not thiefs) like Wanga, Nostradamus. But normally we don't want to see, to hear, to believe our eyes. Are we right in this our behaviour?

This is an interesting testimony in the debate I have with different persons (one of them is Zubli Zainordin that incourages my to speak about these experiences without fear).

If somebody doesn't know about Dante Alighieri, I add here the pic and write some general info from Wikipedia in italian and english:

Dante Alighieri was born in 1265 into the prominent Alighieri family of Florence. The Divine Comedy describes Dante's journey through Hell (Inferno), Purgatory (Purgatorio), and Paradise (Paradiso), guided first by the Roman epic poet Virgil and then by Beatrice, the subject of his love and another of his works, La Vita Nuova. Dante and The Divine Comedy have been a source of inspiration for countless artists for almost seven centuries. As one of the best-known and greatest artistic works in the Western tradition, its influence on culture is difficult to overestimate.

I found an interesting page where the author wants to read the "Comedy" as a message and spiritual teaching given to Dante by his alien friend. Dante -as many of us- feels or knows something transmitted to him by Cosmical Coscience. He wants to tell this message to the people but wants to do it in the way that persons hear him and not laugh and say he is mad.

Interesting is that Dante asks his reader to re-read the description written by prophet Ezechiel, knowing that persons were very religious in that period:

ma leggi Ezechiel, che li dipigne
come li vide da la fredda parte
venir con vento e con nube e con igne

read Ezechiel that describes them
in the way he saw them in the cold part
to come with wind, cloud and fire
(my translation, excuse me)

:))) If it was today, Dante had to write about scientific research (like Dalai Lama does many years to show to everybody that meditation and religion have scientific roots, ARE science).

The author of the article says, the Comedy is the "comedy of the life" where human beings climb on the pick in all possible ways -to reach perfection.

This verse I think is very interesting as appeal to us. I try to translate once more:

Lo tuo sostar col capo ne la sabbia
lasciar lo déi a li struzzi ed a li stolti;
esto mio dir, miser poter ch' el' abbia,
de' vostri studi el tol l'errori molti.

Your usage to stay with the head in the sand
leave it to the ostrichs and similar (?)
this my speach having maybe a little power of conviction
encourage your study and helps to avoid many errors
